Could it be?
In art school Deviantart has become a dirty name. Nobody wants to touch it with a 10 foot pole, believing that having one ruins your credibility. The idea is that Deviantart is stereotyped as a place where crappy artists talk about their crappy work.
I know this isn't always true. I found out about a lot of great illustrators through deviantart, and being here helped me grow as an artist and get feedback from a broad community. Everyone makes blogspot and tumblr out to be the place where "grown ups" put their artwork, as it were, but honestly I haven't ever gotten the kind of community or response from these sites that I did here.
So here's what I propose: I put all of my old work in an old work folder, and start over fresh posting some of my newer works. I'd like to see what you guys think, as I'm kind of amazed that I'm still getting followers, and still getting notes, without ever having touched this profile or site in maybe over a year.
Sound good? Cooooool.
For now if you want to see that work you can look at my blog (link is above), but I suppose I will slowly and progressively be adding it here.
Cheers,
Sarah
