I've started kind of looking forward to this tradition. I did it last year and I think I tentatively did it the year before. Anyway here it is, I'll start with things you probably can't help me with and then throw in a few things that maybe wouldn't be so hard to manage.
1. I wish my friend

could come visit me in college. Don't get me wrong, I love my friends here, but after a while you need something familiar to remind yourself that your feet are on the ground. I think having her as a friend has really helped me realize who I am as a person, and I think every once in a while I need help with that so I don't lose myself in the artsy bullshit that happens at any art school I'm sure. It's easy to forget about the real world, talking to her reminds me I'm kind of living double lives, one that is exciting and new and another that is comforting and stable and I like to go between them. Anywho, flights are expensive, it'd be cool if she could come up here at some point so she can meet everyone and see where I am now as well as get access to all the snazzy machines and shops MICA has to offer.
2. Art supplies. It's a battle, maintaining the supplies I need. I have started to love making books, but getting decent quantities of paper to make a good sized book with relatively nice drawing paper inside (I don't make sketchbooks I wouldn't use) is difficult so if you can send me any kind of supplies I would appreciate it. Brushes, paper, paint, pens, pencils, whatever, throw it at me and I'll find a use for it. Fabric and jewelry supplies are also cool with me I just don't really have the time to sew or make jewelry lately.
3. I think I asked for this last year but this year it is especially important that I get warm things. Baltimore is kind of fickle and sometimes freakishly wonderful weather-wise, but I have a feeling that's just fall and once winter hits it'll be nice and crisp all the time. I don't mind it, in fact I like the cold, but I could always do with more scarves and gloves and stuff. Recently have fallen in love with scarflettes, warm like a scarf without all the annoying hangy ends. Genius. I'd like more hoodies and stuff but I kinda rather get that kind of thing on my own, I have an awkward body type so sometimes stuff is too big or way too small or has too much room for boobage and I'd rather you not waste your money.
4. This just occured to me, but it would be really cool if someone could send me a package of uncooked boba (tapioca pearls). The nearest bubble tea place is in inner harbor so you have to ride the train and then walk a couple blocks to get there. I think I and my friends would freaking have a ball making our own bubble tea.
5. Steampunk things. Period.
6. Delicious treats are always encouraged.
7. You know what would be cool, if someone sent me some nice planks of wood in the mail. I mean like, birch, or oh man I can't even imagine if someone sent me some cherry oak or pine or something. The only wood I can get around here is plywood and if I'm lucky some really thick poplar and I've gotten really into burning wood so this is kind of a disappointment. It's not like you can't do some cool stuff on plywood, but ohhhh the things I could do with better material. I drool a little bit thinking about it. Extra points if it's already cut down to book cover sizes but that's not needed.
8. I can always use more cacti in my life, send em my way! Also I think I could use an aloe vera plant in my future.
9. SEND ME YOUR BONEZZZZZZ. I mean what?
10. I have been absolutely craving dublin dr. pepper. If you know what this is, and can send me some, I would probably cry a little. Random but I just thought of it. That's all, I don't really need much else, life is pretty good for the time being. haha
