Tangerine dreams and marmalade promises,
Dashed – cruel fear creeping up like ebony widows.
Bitter citrus betwixt my lips gave us no hope.
Sweet nothings stood no chance against
My hesitant somethings.
No relief was drawn from this spring of finality
Only remorse sloshed down my throat, unsparingly.

For my blind eye I deserve to be mocked in return.
I deserve the pin pricks of punishment.
You gave all and I gave... some.
We are now two split entities – polarized,
Living as closely as one planet to another,
Close enough to see but too far to reach.

Screams are lost in the vast ambiguity of your space
And if you ever see these writ words,
Know of my regret.

I rarely ever let any poetry from my journal out, but I like this poem, and it's something I've felt lately and think other people can relate to. Any comments or crit is encouraged, thanks.

This is lovely. You have a very intricate way of wording things. I know I've felt this before, or at least similar.

Thank you, ^^ I'm thinking I'm going to take some pictures to go along with this poem but I probably won't get around to it until after May when I have free time again. ha

Wow I don't think I've ever seen any of your poetry before - this is pretty amazing, you have such a great way of wording things. It's definitely something relatable as well. It's always nice to see when someone is able to make something productive/useful out of a bad situation. And as far romance goes, you're going to find someone perfect for you in college, I'm sure of it :)

I write poems every now and then in my journal but they're usually not so good. Can't waittt for college. haha
