Artist's Comments
This all started with just throwing some paint into the middle of a piece of watercolor paper. I refined it into something I saw, then I would see something else, and something else, until it developed into this.
This technique and image I suppose was inspired by Alex Pardee, long time The Used artist, who says he starts most of his work this way. I thought it was an easy enough way to begin something, and in an art block easy is a good thing, to say the least. I wanted to let the watchers who enjoy my traditional work know I wasn't dead artistically. Part of why I've posted so much jewelry is I haven't had any good creative spurts lately, and this really helped. All I can hope now is that my art teacher doesn't bug me again about doing something for my concentration.. a little bit on the frayed edge as it were. haha I scanned this before I inked so I would have two seperate versions, here's the picture before ink --> [link] As always, enjoy and comment. :] I'm selling the original and prints of this! Please note me for more info! CommentsThis is so cooooollllllll.
I love the colors, and your traditional work is just as interesting and commendable as your jewelry, don't worry! I'll think of this technique when we start more serious painting in art class. ♥ -- Join the Keyblade Army! It's absolutely amazing. I love the colors and the motion in the picture. It's astounding.
I know what you mean about being frayed D; I had a trip yesterday and was in the ER today so I've missed massive work. -- Me: She's all 'Who are you?' D: Say "God" Me: I said 'The mother-loving Tooth Bunny. Who do you think?' D: Haha xD Me: I am the illegitimate love-child of the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny... Me: I pretty much AM God : D HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
