CommentsI like this version more. The monochromatic grey scale of the piece emphasizes the destruction of war. I just think this is amazing, it's so powerful. Also, your eye peaking through all the articles was like the innocence of all that is destroyed, but it was also like a ray of hope.
In the other version, the position of your head seemed a little forced. This is natural and just perfect. I'm so behind you on this one! -- Question. Learn. Grow. i effing love it!! right on and all that jazz. a beautiful depiction.
-- truth lies in silence with fear in our teeth. .halley. Hmm.. I like this one two. I like the facial expression abit more her, I'm not quite sure why but the combination of a 3/4 view and the way the eyes are slanted just such. Hmm...
I also like the background, just near the face, I'm not sure what it is but it's completely adds to the overall effect. -- "Don't get me wrong, I like furries. They're some of my best customers.... They pay cash." - Random Person at Geekkon. Thank you so much! Your comments really helped me. Not only you said that the position was forced on the other one, and now it seems a lot clearer that this is the better version. Thanks!
xD thank you!
Oh yes, the background! I didn't explain that, but I scanned some angry pen scribbles and edited it behind the face. Just thought it would be cool, glad you noticed. ^^
Gorgeous job!
-- I have always tried to design things that are unapologetically beautiful, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. If I can inspire an appreciation for grace and elegance, that would be the ultimate fulfillment of my life's ambition. ^^ thank you!

The face with news clippings over it is especially well done and is an interesting concept.
